the thick "brick" ones with the 2 metal "lips" opposite of each other OR a thinner set/no lips that I see on Ebay listed for 64-66 A body 273? Thank you for your time. RR EDIT I reread the thinner ones descrip & it says for 64-69, not 64-66 if that makes a difference.

Link to the ones you're referring to?
Beware- in many places (including parts stores, both brick & mortar and online) the thin ones (2266) are being incorrectly listed as being correct for the '66 and earlier A bodies. They aren't! Those are for '67-'72, and their use on early As can and probably will cause various clearance issues (oil pan to tie rod, exhaust/header to t-bar, manifold/header to steering column, etc.), necessitating the use of additional spacers to get things lined up correctly again. The correct mount is a number 2338, Which seems to be getting harder to find, at least correctly listed. The common replacement is either a 2469 (mid '80ish Dodge truck V8) or the 2710 ('90ish Cummins diesel) which both have the interlocking fingers and negate the need for a torque strap in high performance applications. They are both thicker than the 2266s, and nearly identical in thickness to the 2338, with the 2710 being a hair thicker than the 2469.

A pic is (always) worth a thousand words. Professor yes the ones I saw on eBay were 2266's & I found a new set of 2266's in my stash & they are a strong 13/16" tall. I also found a 2710 that will go on the drivers side on the stock car & it is 1&3/4" tall & both of em have much stouter "rubber" than the OE "bricks". The OE bricks are 1 & 9/16" tall compressed/installed in the car. they do have different offsets on the stud locations. I will wait & see where my pinion angle comes in later on tho I do have axle shims handy. Thanks guys!
