Which U Joint do I have?

I've got a 70 Dart with a (I believe its a 69) 8 3/4. I am wanting to purchase these U joint girdles but they list two different numbers? 7290 and 7260.
Any idea which one I buy?

Save your money and don't bother with those... If the driveshaft happens to go to an extreme angle, you get a nasty mess. DAMHIK!

Run the straps or a set of U bolts if you can.

Oh?
I figured they would be beneficial since my U Joints already exploded once leaving my driveshaft smashing my floor pans and the concrete over and over.
What are these straps or U bolts you speak of for the U joint?

If you are breaking U joints, there is a problem most likely other than the straps. Angle, neutral drops.

I run the stock style straps all the time. I don't really recall a 7260 yoke with U bolts. 7290 may possibly have a u bolt style.

Measure the inside spread between the cups of the yoke, 2 1/8 = 7260, 2 5/8 = 7290.

Ohh sorry I misread it above. My mistake. Yeah no my straps are fine.
But thank you for those measurements, they help a lot.

I think only the 1330 and 1350 yokes used U bolts.
