hey alex. i heard you rescheduled your party again. thats good though. this way my car should be done in time. here is a link to my build. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=40597
are you going to be in concord friday?

Aaron, is that you?? Yeah, I plan to stop by this Fri.

Talk to Danny about the reschedule!!

While I'm on the subject maybe Ben and Steve from Steve's Classics can come by too. Must bring relic of automotive history! Date is 8/15. Guys, PM me for address.

That's a good looking 69 Roadrunner! Its my favorite B-body. I've had several 69s myself throughout the years.

Any old pictures of the Green Slime 1? There were so few to start with so I especially like to see pictures of Formula S Notches. Do you know if the car is still around?

sounds good, you should bring the 64 barracuda. that is a sweet ride.

Not possible at the moment because the interior is out for a carpet install and it needs brakes. You will see it at the BBQ though. Hmmm, I may have to test drive the new carpet for a few weeks to ensure proper break in!!!

Unfortunately I think it's long gone and that was long before digital cameras hit the scene, plus I was never good at documenting anything in those days. I seriously doubt I have a pic of it. It was originally light yellow that someone painted dark green. The idiot I sold the body to used it for a parts car for his 67 318 fast back. I told him he needed to put this original 340 car back together but it fell on deaf ears.....and on top of that it took me months to get my $150.00!!! What a piece of work that guy was. Oh, and that kids uncle is the guy that named it the green slime!

The car I would like to find is the uncle's light yellow 67 Formulas S 383 fast back. That thing ran consistent low 12's on the bottle with 8" slicks at Sears Point and one time at Fremont it went 11.84 @ 120 on 70 series radials. That car was a blast!!

Welcome aboard...must of us have or had B bodies too, and alot of us are on FBBO also.

Me too. Depending on how you look at it I either "technically" do or do not have an A Body. Technically I'm giving it to my son; HOWEVER, it is still titled to me and sitting in my garage. LOL

The current project that's mine is a B Body, and I'm on that board too but just not as much. Not as many people, takes longer to get responses sometimes, and most of the stuff I'm putting in the B Body are A-Body guts.

So maybe mine should be considered AB+...like blood type. :read2:

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!

Some of my other cars. Also pictured is my 72 911T I restored a few years ago. A fun project and fun to drive but I got tired of it. It was sold this last Jan to make room for MoPars and parts and other fine American cars!!

Nice VW Hahahahaha
As for your Orginal Green Slime you know you were no match for "The Black DEATH!!!! my old $300.00 67 Fastback Barracuda and it's MONSTEROUS two Hundred and seventy Three Cubic inches of Hyper pac TERROR!!!!
With all my cutting edge racing weight distribution tricks like missing front bumper (ok the original one was so bent up it didn't fit on) Gigantic amounts of Bondo right behind the rear tires and worn out shocks for the ultimate in Sox and Martin type holeshots. The front end lifted up faster than an 18 year old boy on Viagra! That along with Pizza cutters in ALL four corners and it was no wonder it could lay down such HUGE black marks (Ahh,... make that Mark) as wide as a Sharpie!! And I'm talking the WIDE Sharpie here Pal, not one of those fine tip ones! That's right, we're talking John Force type burnouts here! (Especially with all that smoke coming out the exhaust.)
Not only that, the car had been signifintly lightened with the help of random parts rattling off though out the years. It's no wonder you had to put in that massive Three hundred and eighteen cubic inch stroker motor to try to beat me. Mark my words "The Black Death" will return in the shape of another Mopar and I will have my REVENGE!!!!! Muahahahahaha

Seriously though, I've known Alex for what 27 years? and he is one of the few people I will ever call a true friend. Welcome to the site. And if you say "Who is this?" I swear to God I will put rainbow stickers on ever car you own! LOL

I know who this is but I ain't sayin'. He's the most interesting man in Concord! He drove a 71 Duster with 5 PSI of oil pressure for several years until it finally died in the driveway of a funeral home (really!).

While becoming momentarily stranded because of a broken throttle cable, he temporarily replaced it with an electrical cord from a soldering iron and worked the throttle from the drivers window with his arm. Why?? Because he's not walking!!

A never ending suply of witty comments for any situation (If you are performing on stage and you suck you don't want him in the front row!!).

Ohhhh, the Black Death. I remember it well - just had a hard time seeing it through the smoke cloud!! Driving it home open headers from the Pleasanton swap meet. That thing smoked more than Cheech and Chong!!

Slantcamp I was actually trying to cruise by Baja fresh last Friday night with the wife but as usual something came up.

Alex that motor lasted for 5 years like that!!! Hahaha And I beat the hell out of it and it just kept going. It was like a timex watch.....well right up until the connecting rod went through the oilpan.----oops =( Which I still have sitting on my work bench.

The Soldering Iron trick was funny as hell, Are you the one I did a burnout in front of with it? I was like hey check this
out .....BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Here's some pics from the Murder scene of my old 318 around 1987. It was funny, the motor blows sending the connecting rod through the oil pan, so I turned into the first driveway I came too, where I coasted to a stop. As I jump out and look up I notice the sign (see pic). All I could do is Laugh!!!! As you see the pictures you'll see the trail of oil down the street (Clayton Road in Concord) and through the parking lot.
Here is also a Pic of GreenSlimes 68 Road Runner in front of my Parents house probably around 1982 - 1983 That's my 1971 Duster in the driveway behind it.

I'll check on the Negative.
I got a couple of your old RamCharger (minus part of the tire. oops LOL), my old RamCharger right before the Car Craft street Machine Nationals, and at least one of your 67 Mustang GT. I even have a few of my old 71 Duster in it's prime, a pic of Mikes old 69 Charger R/T but it's kinda cut off, but I think that's about it. I wonder if Mike has any old pics of some of the Mopar gang?
