I have an 8 track player (sorry not for sale)that I would like to get restored, and have been doing some research and have read that new in box is not always a good deal as the factory lubricant has likely gelled up and that the belt is more than likely shot.

There is a website posted somewhere about repairING your own 8 track player and also repair of the tapes.

I was going to do mine but have not got around to it as I have been too busy preparing for millwright exam

Been thinking about selling mine . It was new in the box Pioneer . used it once , works very well, paid over $100 . for it. I would let it go for $75.. I already have a cd player and want to fix my radio. I probably have over a hundred tapes from country western to 60-80 rock.
