Never saw a MLB ending like yesterday with so many uncertainties.
Pretty cool. Kudos to both Reds and Indians from coming so far back!
Jays locked up 1st in their div so they chill AND heal up(Bichette, Bassitt) until Saturday. Guaranteed home field advantage too.
Glad Mets missed out, cant stand Soto and pissy pants Alonso wants out again lol. Hoping for long playoffs in general. Surprised Kershaw isn't on Dodgers roster for 1st round
LETS GO JAYS!

Cleveland's second half comeback was impressive indeed.

Kershaw just pitched 5+ yesterday and wouldn't be ready to go again in the short 3-game WC series, so omitting him is just freeing up a roster spot. I get that. Although, I've got no idea why Roberts threw him in the meaningless 162 game to begin with. I'd have kept him as a potential bullpen arm. The Reds are gonna be though out in a 3-game series.

wild ending for sure! HBP eliminates the trashtos was just *chefs kiss*

kersh pitched sunday, so he'd be going on short rest. my guess is that they'll utilize him in middle relief or high leverage spots in one or two innings during the post season.

if i had to guess it was partially just out of respect to let him finish the season on his own terms, knock one more W onto the list. he's also been dominant in seattle, so that probably figured into it a little.

The Braves let Ground Chuck throw an inning & a 1/3 against the Bucs to retire from the sport where He entered it, when the Pirates had Him, He was such a head-case.......lots of talent tho'.

Buccos really tried to spoil it for the Reds, but failed to sweep them at Home, Reynolds just got under that pitch a tick too much....got robbed of a game tying homer.
Pirates failed miserably again,....they actually let four teams end the season with worse records than them...

Who's Ground Chuck?
Bucs are on the upswing I think, Skenes is a beast obviously. Loved the Bucs as a kid, one of the coolest/unique pitchers was Kent Tekulve, ball almost scraping the mound. Dave Parker was feared, Will Stargell...

Charlie Morton........I followed the Bucs the whole '79 season, little did I know then the 'We are Family' season was the last time We'd see the Big Dance,........My Neighbor & I both learned to throw drop-down sidearm 'cause of Teke.
I believe 4 of our starting lineup regulars are under .200 for the season, can't win games like that, I'm about done with Cruz......I don't GAF if You hit the ball 120mph, if you only do it every 30th at bat.........

Ahhh ageless CM. Reminds me of Snell....kinda. Yeah for me as a kid growing up prior to Jays, it was Bucs and Phillies. Tug Mcgraw, Mike Schmidt.
Bucs also had unique hats.
It was natural to hate the Yankmees and still is. I enjoy doing it.

You might be right, but don't count them out just yet. They seem to find their way out of bad situations.
I think they'll go further than most people think.
I don't think they'll get past the WC round, but in 3 games I wouldn't count anyone out.

I'm rootin for Cal Raliegh(can you say MVP!?!?) and the Mariners!!!!!

Big Dumper said it best.....

Boy, Skubal pitched his dick off today. Yankess-Red Sox is a good one. I'm happy about Cubs over Padres. Hopefully the boys in blue can make this easy on me.

I saw that no team has won a 3-game wildcard series afters losing the first game since this playoff format became permanent in 2022. I can see at least one team doing it this year.

"Wild" that every game today was a do or die game. A real chess match in a best 2 outta 3 scenario.
Hoping for Red Sox, BUT want as much baseball, and "tire" each other out.
Indians came back with a vengeance.

Sox really bounced back after the Devers trade. I thought they were cashing out for the season at that point

Funny how he was all pissy about staying at 3rd and not going to 1st.
Then goes to Giants and said he would play 1st....Chapman(Giants) is a SOLID 3rd baseman.
And funnier yet that his new team missed the playoffs and are without a manager while his old team is on the verge of knocking out the 'mighty' Yankees and advancing to the divisional round.
