Will an 8 3/4 rear from an 80 volare fit my 71 scamp

Jus curious as to whether a 8 3/4 rear that fits a 80 volare will work for my 71 scamp its comPlete with. 3.23 posi new bearings and seals and i can get it fôr a cheap price so i was hoping i could make it work

I would think they would be close. But as far as I know they didn't come out with an 8-3/4 rear. So what it came out of from the beginning would be better info.

if it fit the F body fine its probbly a early B body rear. it should fit the A just fine with the spring purches moved in and the correct backspace wheels.

How would i find out the proper backspace needed and for the rear?

the f body came with either a 7 1/4 or th 8 1/4 has it got a back cover?

Its not the original rear its just a rear that fits it. Trying to get more info on it

An A body housing will fit in an F body. It doesn't fit right, you have to move the springs, but there's enough room that it will fit. Unless somebody moved the perches, it will probably fit your car ok. I think the A body perch width is like 43.5" center to center. I cannot remember for sure. I know that's close.
