Will the sure grip 742 unit I have work in a 741 case?

I want to go from a 742 case factory sure grip 3.91 to putting the sure grip unit in a 741 case with 3.23's what do I need to do to make this happen??

yes suregrips are interchangeable between cases. just not gear sets.May be to your benefit to just sell the 742 as they are worth 400. up to 600. for that you could buy a new unit and have cash left

Is 400-600 for 742 complete with sure grip and ring and pinion? Or 400-600 for the sure grip unit only? Im not sure I understand what you said.

look in the for sale section and you will see average pricing. i myself think the whole 742 carrier with suregrip and gears is worth around 4 to 5 bills. Some fetch more but thats aproximate value. Myself I would buy the desired gear and install it in the stronger 742 then sell the removed gears and the 741 carrier.Where in fl are you? I lived in Ocoee for years. moved in 1980
