The PS hoses and pump is gone. The high and low connectors are connected together on the gear box with a hose. There is fluid in the box. Will this mess up the gear driving the car? I'm collecting parts to put everything back.
Will this damage the power steering gear?

Should be fine as long as it does have some fluid in it.

I'd just toss a manual box on it,it's easier to steer than a non assisted power assist box.
