Can I use a 75 dart power brake master cylinder into my 69 dart with power drum drakes?
The 75 had discs which i plan on swapping once i have saved enough to do it properly.
If this will work, should I use the 69 drum prop. valve or the 75 disc valve.
Thanks!
Dave

I would use the 69 prop until you switch to disc then the prop for 75.
You don't want the rear brakes locking up so you need to use the drum drum prop valve. If I remember correctly the timing to the rear cicruit is different between the two.
For $50 you can buy an adjustable prop valve that goes inline with the rear and turn the knob. This would work with either setup and be adjustable when you go back to disc.

Im running a mc off a 74-76 Monaco and i got drums on my 72 dart. That mc is for a disc brake car.

disk brake mc wont work with drums.

Why won't it work? All my brake books say " the only difference is in the proportioning valve".

I would like to know the difference. Thanks

As for my Duster it is getting 2 MC's one for the front and one for the rear. Manual set up.
Alot more braking force than original mc with booster.
