I have a 65 cuda with 10" front drum brakes and i am considering going with the wilwood disc brake kit. The problem i have now is i bought the 73+ a-body setup, but it made the front almost an inch wider on each side. That wont work with the wheels i am using. It sets the wheels to close to the fenders. Does the wilwood kit widen the front end at all? Thanks for the help.

The widening of the front track by moving to the '73-'76 setup is rarely discussed, but this is real.

Hopefully someone will jump in, who has dealt with the wheel issue.

My guess: Wheel offset / backspacing should be looked at - as 1 cure.

I'm not sure if your asking if the wilwood kits add offset. I have the wilwood setup for early a with 9" drums and it did add width. I'm not sure how much but I know it is in the install instructions. If you want I could look it up. Here is the quote right off of Wilwoods page for 63-74 Darts. I don't know why they say it may affect offset.....unless it is kit dependant.

NOTE:
Installation of Wilwood Disc Brake Kits may affect the wheel offset.
