Anything in paticular is good to know before putting back the windshiled and back glass on a 71 Duster?

Most folks will tell you to have someone install them. They're on the hook if it leaks or breaks. I've done a windshield ( kinda spooked thinking I was going to break it ) , and have seen a couple of posts on it. Speed channel had a thing on a show a month or 2 ago. They basically installed the gasket on the car, set the glass in at the bottom then used nylon tools to flip the gasket over the glass. Some say use the "rope it in" method.

I'd like to see a video of the couple of ways to do it along with the tools and sealants required...We need a sticky of this... hint, hint, ;) ;)

Here is a three part video of an amateur glass install. The first one is a little slow, but check out all three to get the idea. This job does not look too difficult if you have a few sets of extra hands to help you. Ther rope method worked great for the rear window. That was by far the easiest for me.. Took me 15minutes..

The front I never cussed, kicked and cried so much in my life!! I had windshield glue all over the damn place and had a hell of a time.. Tried everything! Finally got it in.. took about a hour and half.. Im worried about leaks with it but we will see.

I called the pro's - then I called them back 3 more times to stop the leaks at the windshield. Money well spent...
