Windshield and rear window install 69 Dart

I had removed my windshield and rear window in my 69 dart to put a roll cage in. Whats the best avenue to put them back in? If I call an auto glass place will they know what to do with an old car like this? Is this something a guy can do on his own and save some $?

When i bought mine the windshield was cracked,I called a local giass shop and they replaced it for about 160.00.They would not install a (used ) one.Good luck............................Jeff

You can do it yourself, easier with some help. Install the rubber to the glass, get 15' of strong, thin nylon cord. Spray silicone lube on the cord, feed it into the gap in the rubber. Use the cord to pull the rubber lip over the metal flange pressing on the glass to seat it as you pull the cord from the inside. A friend comes in handy pressing from the,outside as you work the inside.

do it with a couple friends. use LOTS of the good window cleaner as a lube and take your time. here's a few links with info.
