Windshield / Rear Window Moulding

Is there an easy way to remove these? I see how they are held on, but how do you release those dang spring clip thingys? I got a couple to come off with a small screw driver, but I'm afraid any further tweaking is going to ruin the moulding.

BTW...this is on a 72 Duster...
