does anybody know the Dorman part # for the windshield wiper linkage bushings for a 1973 Dodge Dart sport. I can only find it for a 1976 up. I am assuming they are the same but want to be sure. I am finding a 49447 or a 49440. I think they are 9/16". thanks

Chrysler part # is 3799089 and it crosses to Dorman part # 49440. assortment pack is Dorman part # 49447.

I just bought some for the Dak yesterday, and all I could find at O'reilly's, Autozone, and Advance were the assortment. Never even thought to try the dealer!

Sorry, didn't know the part number and din't see this till this morning.
I got a 3 pack of them off the help wall at Autozone for about 5 bucks.

Same here trudysduster, I could not find a set for my ramcharger and thought I would give the zone a try, it was an assortment pack for 4.69 . sure enough a pair fit, I also would think that the 76 model would be the same as the 73 :coffee2:

yeah Mike, that is what I thought too but just wanted to make sure. I did some more cross reference and took the Chrysler # and crossed it to Dorman and found the # 49440 was it. I went to Oreilly's and bought a pack of them for $3.19. but, they said they fit 74 up dart Sport. so go figure. I don't see any reason that they would not fit. I think these bushings fit over 1300 vehicles so why would they not fit mine. But Murphy's law will probably prevail here but for $3.00, give it a try.thanks for the response. Bill

Have a tub of axle grease on hand, and when you get them on I put a dab of it on top, just a dab will do ya :D

Hey Bill, before you put them on find the smallest drill bit you can and put a small hole in the center. It really helps in getting them on, they fit so tight they want to pop back off, I'm guessing from an air pocket.

My local NAPA had them in stock for my 78 PowerWagon, I bet they are the same for the duster.

Bruce, you may have something there. that is what they did. I bet it was an air pocket. I will try that. Thanks,Bill
