If it makes you feel any better, I went to a concert at a park today and charged the AC on my truck. :bootysha:

Oh, it was 85 today. :thebirdm:8)

I don't think it will ever quit. We are suppose to get more
snow tommorow. Possible freezing rain with it.
I want to hit the first TNT on april 12. I hope it happens.
Global warming my butt!

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I looked at the 2 week projected weather, temps will continue below normal.

I'm sick of shovelling snow. This sucks.

I know exactly what your talking about. Your lucky that your car is on your property. Mine is in storage about two miles away. I'm sick and friggen tired of this ****...I NEED OUT OF THIS G.D. HOUSE!!! AND I ALSO NEED A FULL TIME JOB. Part time isn't cutting it.

Ive got the same problem Part time job. Pay is ok but I didnt work at all last week. I cant go full time because of Michelles work hours. I have to be home to play Mr Mom.

That ain't all bad. Not sure how old the kid is but if its not a baby go out to a local park. Sledding should be good at least with all this snow 8) Well I try to make the best of it but yeah I rather have it warmer too.

Now gets the better part of winter, during 11am to 2pm if its sunny out its not really cold.

Don't worry springs a coming and next weekend the clocks move up an hour!

It was nice today. Washed my truck. The Harleys are getting out on the roads here in the South because I can here them starting to rumble by the house.

Mine are 2 and 4. We have a nice hill in the yard but we havent had much snow. We get a few inches then the next day its 50* and raining. I just want to be able to shut my heat off. Its electric and costing me $700 a month on top of my all ready expensive rent.

Good gosh! $700?

Are talking about central heating and air when you say electric?

I have central heat and air and my bill was $76. It hasn't been extremely cold but that is just flat to high Adam.

Sorry to chime in........Went to car show this afternoon in AZ. Sunny and a bit warm 78 or so.

Don't beat me.

No, electric base board heat. Very comman in CT with houses built in the 70s.

You guys down south don't understand, its been COLD this winter! Over here in Michigan its "Winter Wonderland" once again. We are getting snow every other day.

Electric don't cut it up in the north, you need oil or gas heat. My 2700 sf house cost $300 a month to heat, its gas but we keep it set at 67-68 degress.

2 & 4 are pretty young, you have your hands full I bet. That age theres not much they can do by them selfs but they grow up fast.

Well if you can swing it, get a "play station" :-D and play video games.

My house is 1800sqft not including the basement. I have a fire place in the living room, A wood stove in the basement and the heat on 70. Its still cold in here. The land lord doesnt want to hear that the baseboards and thermostats 35 years old an need to be upgraded so Im stuck with high electric bills and spending half the day tending to the fire place and wood stove. Good thing I get wood for free because Ive gone through at least 5 cords all ready.

We have Playstation but my son just isnt in to it. They are pretty good kids though and usually play well together. We played Candyland tonight then watched some Dora The explore. A good time was had by all.

Wow... My best friend has a 5 yr. old and one approaching 2. I feel for you.

As for winters kick in the nuts, how's this. I go to my buddies house this morning to check out the Dart. I arrive at his house and the sun is shining, but it's cold. I stop in to say HI to the wife & his kids, and go in the yard to check the charging system. AS I STEP OUTSIDE it starts to snow with freezing rain. I curse, pop the hood, and find out I need an alternator. I step back in his house when I'm done, dry off, say good bye, and go to leave.... and the sun is shining again.

I know.... I know.... Just a few more weeks. :angry7:

I guess I can imagine what you use of air condition. I believe I would be looking for a different place. That house sounds like it needs a central heat and air or a gas pack unit. Tell the landlord it not the 70's any longer. LOL

......with the winter crap, but $700 a month. Holy balls. I now have a choice on the heat. When gas started it's climb in price i bought me a Hardy wood burner that sets outside and sends hot water to radiators in the house and shop. Being in construction i get trees off the job as well as scrap lumber. I bought one $40 load of wood this year. I also have the choice of running the heat pump or the gas portion of my furnace. Electric with just the heat fans on to circulate the heat and the rest of the house and shop with air comp. and welders is about $135 for 2500 sq. feet. Oh. The 5 car garage is heated also. Like you Adam, i'm sick of winter and when i went to the store to get a 12 pack i told the gal at the check out that i was so tired of ice that i was going to drink HOT beer all summer. 60's yesterday and in the 70's today and tomorrow will be rain/ICE and 32 deg. It's a great life in you don't weaken. Something not many mention here is their location. I'm in West Plains, Mo. 65775

Actually I didnt really use a/c all summer and even when I did the bill wasnt over $200 ever.. The house stayed pretty cool. The landlord could careless about my electric bill or anything else for that matter. Just another dead beat landlord as far as Im concerned.

He tried to tell me he was going to raise the rent because his taxes went up. I told go ahead. If you do it Im moving. He hasnt raised it yet. He owns 4 houses, not counting the one he lives in. All are in his mothers name, and he doesnt work. I told him if hes having a hard time paying his bills get a job like the rest of us.

We kinda looking for another place but I dont really want to loose my garage which is huge and I just finished installing a ton if lights and cabinets. Plus theres not to much around thats any cheaper, and most have electric heat also.

I did find a place $600 a month though, were waiting to hear back about it. Were first in line. The house is smaller which is kinda a good thing to me, its on 4 acres, right next to my grandparents and owned by a friend of the family. No garage but I'll use my mothers if I have to. For $600 a month I cant pass it up. Thats $1300 extra a month just in the rent, electric will be cheaper also, plus my truck is all most payed off !

Good luck on the new place Adam. Just make sure you have enough room for the B-B-Q this summer.... 8)

4 acres at the place were hoping for.

4 Arces? Wadda ya say we chip in for a handful of clapped-out Toyota's and Nissans and we a demo-derby at the B-B-Q? :toothy7:

I hate paying it. The 4 acre place is the cheaper one too. Oil heat and a woodstove. Its also smaller so should be easier to keep warm.
