The wiper motor in my 72 Scamp needs to be replaced. When I removed the motor it appears that the previous owner had disconnected it from the wiper arm. The motor has the short arm attached. What kind of clip is used to attach the short arm to the wiper arm and are there any bushings or other parts that I will need? Can I attach the arm under the hood or does it have to be done under the dash? Buy the way I am new here so talk slow. I found this car sitting along side the road for sale, it is a one owner 57,000 and is really clean. Any help would be great. Thanks

There are two types.
One with metal clips and one with nylon bushings
If your arms have a hole with a little notch on one side, the it's the nylon bushing type.
I got new nylon ones for mine at Autozone in the help wall section.
The metal ones are harder to find from what I have seen.

Determin which ones yours uses and ask around here for them.
I'd bet someone has em, or knows where to get them.

I looked them up for you.
These are the nylon ones.http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...on+wiper+bushings&hl=en&gbv=2&tbm=isch&itbs=1

And they are discussed here.
