So i fried a couple wires under the dash in my 63 dart the other day(thank god for my trustee fire extinguisher) nothing to bad happened. Upon further inspection of the wires, first time under the dash, I found something that made me a little sick ill post pics in a little bit. Anyways after the somke of death I fixed the wires because this car is my daily driver. I need a few suggestions on a wire harness. This is a basic build might do a v8 swap sometime might see some a/c way down the line. The only real electrics would be electric fans and a radio. Would i be better off with lets say a AAW route 9 harness or something like an 18-21 circuit from lets say speedway or ez.Thanks for the help.

either way you are relocating the fuse block and rewiring a good portion of the car - I have used and always suggest the EZ Wiring piece.

I have went throught alot of fourms and alot of people like them but im terrible at electrial diagrams but i can crimp an solder and read where wires are labeled to go.

Easy stuff actually don't listen to the Chevy scoop guy. Give me a ring crimp and solder is all you have to do, got a ohm meter and know how to use it?

Yeah i figured if the wire says left tail light it aint gonna go to the front turn signal should be easy enough. Guess i should invest in a set of quality crimpers.

Different. one is just a crimper the other folds it over the wire, look up Packard 56 crimper, depends on how much you are going to do.

Well all the connectors outside the bulkhead that use them are in great condition so i could reuse the the plastic housings and make it easy to remove some stuff if i ever have to.

I like the idea of a full replacment . I will be following along I want to see how detailed it is before I pulled the trigger on on

I bought the american autowire power plus 13 kit deciding on connectors at the moment then im gonna take a week off and get to work hopefully it goes smooth.
