i just installed a 727 with a trans brake and did not realize it needs 12 volts to work in reverse. my question is, can i tap into my backup lights so i don't have to hit a switch everytime i want to back up? i'm worried it may draw to much and i'll fry some wires.

I gotta ask why you've got a transbrake, if you don't need it to race with. The calibrations of a t-brake wouldn't be good on the street for very long.
The answer to your question depends on who made the brake and what type of solenoid it has.

i do race this car several times a year but the biggest reason i got the trans brake is the deal i got on this tranny was to hard to pass up. i already wired it to the reverse lights, seems to work fine, i'll see what happens after some use.
