Wiring Electric Fans

but instead of the ignition switch can I use a flip switch so that When im at the track or when the car is warming up, I can have the fans off?

Just wire relay in grab positive constant from starter relay next to batt then have a ignition pos wire to the switch part of relay. Put your dash switch in the ign hot wire and you should be good. Make sure you have a good ground for the relay

You confused me a little. Are what your saying is to use the wire that is only hot when the ignition is on to the switch I want to run and a ground?

Just look at the lights in this diagram as Fans.........Where you get your power from is your choice. For Visual purposes only!!
