I either assembled them and did npt run them or perhaps
may have run them a few minutes. Really cannot remember.

They were set up for O Deck ( Varies slightly with you block prep)
and up to 750 lift Valve Pockets

They are 1.09 Pin Size

1.685 Deck as close as my calbiers can read.

They were custom made and over $1,300.00

$275.00

Plus the ride

I am interested John, but check my math here and tell me what I am missing if they were for a Zero deck block?

Since they are a 1.094" pin you could have only used a 6.76" rod?

6.76" (rod) + 2.125" (half the stroke) + 1.685" ( piston compression height) = 10.57"

440 Block 10.725" - 10.57" = -.155" in the hole. I can't see you cut a block down that far.

Please advise,

Tom

Let me measure them again this week.
I did it with my calibers and two
23 month old grandkids hanging on me.
I could have easily screwed up.

I know I had the engine together some years ago and they
were not down in the hole like that.

On my engine I ran Hemi length custom rods
I will remeasure everything in a day or two.
I wrote on top of box 440 with 1/2 inch stroke
I cut the deck some but i do not remember how much.
The Hemi rods are about .100 Longer ( I do not remember anymore )?

That answers that question then. A stock Hemi rod is 6.86" long, but uses a 1.031" wrist pin.

So you had custom 6.86" long Hemi rods with a 1.094" 440 size wrist pin in them?

10.725" 440 Deck Height

-6.86" Rod Length

-2.125" 1/2 the stroke on 4.25"

.055" in the hole, so you must have cut the block .055" to get it to a Zero deck height.

Do you happen to still have the rods that you had these pistons on?

They were sold but when I measured them I had the calibers
in the valve relief pocket. they are actually 1.73 to 1.74 probably
closer to 1.740.

I may have the rods = I have a 5000' shop
that you can barely walk thru that is two stories.
Also Six smaller shops full of parts and a dozen Racecars
almost all ready to race

I am an expert at buying High and Selling Low!
However, I have never seen a Hearse with a U Haul
trailer behind it (76 this year) AND I am having a lot of fun.

On the days that I can get around = sometimes I just grab
parts that I will never use at random a put them on a forum.
