I am a fairly seasoned 4x4 guy but I have come across a few truck parts that I can get and interchange.
I have come across a pair of axles out of a 74 Dodge 4x4 non-fulltime.
the rear is an 8 3/4. The front does not matter at this point. He is willing to throw in an 8 1/4 with 3.55's out of a fulltime truck. This has interchangeable brake parts etc. with cars.
The rear axle of the 8 3/4 is 3.55 as well.
Is there a reason why I cannot use the housing in a car app with different ends and axles? I know it will need to be narrowed.
I'm thinking that I can sell off the front axle etc. for enough to pay for the rest?
Ideas on what I should pay?
