Worn out torsion bar ???

Hey guys. i need some input on my worn out torsion bars. heres some info -- got my 69 valiant goin. new smallblock ,727, 9 1/4 rear axle. put 17s all the way around. never changed the stock suspension. so im riding with /6 torsion bars and leafs still. the bars have been adjusted by the alignment shop. now the problem is. when the car rolls backward, the front end lifts up about 1 inch maybe 2. when i put the car in drive and go forward. the front end drops down almost hitting the tire. do i need new torsion bars or whats the deal? its tearing up my fenders.

I went up one size on the t-bars and put a sway bar on my 74 duster.That made a lot better ride.

thanks for the input but is it the t bars that are causing the front end to raise and drop as i change direction????

Look at the adjustment bolts and see if the alignment shop loosened them up to much.
When I got my dart done they where so loose I smashed my headers on the first bump I hit in the road.
