Ok, so I sold my 71 Dart and I have some serious regrets and I think I should have parted it out.

So I just wanted to try to buy one and part it out just to see how it goes. I know it is a lot of work and you really got to get a good deal to make it worth while.

But, how many people on here do this as a hobby or job even? I see Darts come and go and toy with trying it, but never seem to have the time or room.

I found a 74 blue 4 door with a 318 for a decent price. Although the price needs lowered to really make it worth it. Are 4 doors even worth parting out? I could wait for a 2 door from the earlier 70's maybe?

4 doors are ok to part out as long as you buy them right and they have some desirable options. The car should have a Spool K frame and discs. If it has a sway bar, AC, manual steering, good interior components (dashpad), etc. There is some money to be made.

Body panels on those cars don't sell all that well.

Keep this in mind... It's a lot of work to part out a car.
