I have a 04 durango 5.7 with 60,000 and warranty untill 85,000. Am thinking of trading in it on a 03 2500 diesel with 160,000 miles. Truck just had new reman trans put in,has edge chip, magnaflow exhaust and k+n intake set up. Was owned by a older person and he used it to tow his camper between wisconsin and florida. Biggest reason for this is durango gets around 16 the truck gets low 20's and then I should be able to haul about anything needed. I would have to boot some money also but truck is fairly clean. Any thoughts?

You would be getting a truck with 100,000 more miles on it.
And around here gas is about $2.55 to 2.60/gal and diesel is $2.99.

Of course, the Ram will tow your house but it is big as one also.

And when Cummins have problems......$$$$

03 is good stay away from the early 24 valve Cummins diesel between 98 & 02 with the bosch VP44 injector pump they are expensive trouble, but the 03 and later are rock solid engines

I agree with the above, the main thing is I do not have a truck,I know the history of this one and it is a pain to need a trailer whenever I need to get something that does not fit in hatch. Here gas is 2.84 diesel is 2.94 but that changes every day.
