Its been one cool summer. Back in May I started volunteering at one of our local cruise nights (Ottawa's Rideau Carleton Raceway). That has been a blast all by itself. Well apparently the local movie industry uses the Cruise to scout cars. Last month the Dart did "traffic" duty in a film. One day of filming, $ and eats, even got a police escort. It seems that the movies like un-restored barn finds over shiny cars because they look more correct. Who would have figured an old slant 6 would get so much attention?
Since then she was picked as the "villains" ride in a Tarantino style movie! My car (FrankenDart is what my son named her years ago) is used throughout the film. Chases, beatings and more! Coolest car guy days ever. Five days so far and shooting finishes this month with release in the summer of 2015. My poor family is gonna get sick of having to watch this one.... O
