X heads on a stock 360???

Are you worried about too much or too little compression?
Stock 360's have the pistons about .060 in the hole, You won't have too much!
You can have the heads and manifold shaved or the block decked to gain compression.
 
What heads do you have on their now. If they're J heads, it shouldn't make a difference in compression. The difference between X and J heads are the intake valve sizes.
 
Get a measuring cup and a 5x5 piece of plexi glass, then drill a centered hole in it 'counter sunk on one side' and using the online conversion chart ......cc them.
