Trees and dragstrips don't mix.
That's one of the reasons I won't run at Little River.
I don' t understand. Why not cut them down if they could be hit?

I use to run at little river but I had a slow car.Blake didn't have a roll cage and was ejected

I've only got to the track once. 7 runs at San Antonio...leaning out and surging and detonating to a best of 14.42@101mph. I bet your car will walk all over that.
Running better now, but no trips to the track yet. Still tuning and always learning....
Hopefully we'll run across each other sometime. I like your car, and would love to check it out in person, plus you seem like you might be alright ,too. ;-)

Never ran it .It has a 70 440 ,906 stock heads,509 cam.I have a 470 Cid with Trick Flow heads and a small solid roller cam

Seems to me I remember a similar thread a year or so ago. I dont get the tree thing. Kinda like having crocodiles at the swim club.

Your right.Several have hit trees.I guess it don't bother folks or they wouldn't race there!They only care when it's to late.I won't go there.1st time I went there were cars lined up down the track.Each car had a bbq grille bag of dope on the trunk and each car you heard different loud music.Everyone was looking up as I passed by like I did something to them.

Yes it is.Stabbings and fights break out all the time.I'm surprised the city hasn't shut them down.

Watched a You tube video from there...I've seen parking lots safer than that place. What a **** hole. People wandering around the starting line that had no business there...fast cars running with the driver not even wearing a helmet..on and on. Wow.

cut some trees down you track owner cheap lazy chumps. like up here in New England when in the winter storms knock trees down and people cry because they lose electric power, from their trees taking down power lines

sounds like Tulsa a few yrs. back w/ people wandering around the starting line and betting money on the races. has improved since they put in the new track.

I have been in the Ft Worth / Dallas area my whole life, raced at Green Valley, Dallas International and Texas Raceway (S&N) in Kennedale back in the 70's.........never was brave enough to go to Yello Belly. At one time the city of Grand Prairie de-annexed the area so their cops didn't have to deal with the place, it was on the Sheriffs department.
