Sometime in the early 70's at NAS Miramar, I had a part time job at the station auto hobby shop, and had met some fellow Mopar guys. One of them had been steered to to this guy "Pat" who was involved with a bunch of guys in a performance shop, mostly swapping B/RB and hemis into old Ford pickups My friend got a set of heads from him, and he'd had rust issues in his engine, thinking the heads were it.
At one point I was out in this shop, and somehow we got on the subject to my own car, and I ended up buying a used factory Hemi tach drive distributor from this Pat for 20-25 bucks. It needed a new ground strap for the advance plate, and the usual points, cap etc

He was actually kind of a flake, divorced his wife, and she managed the transmission shop for a time. No idea whatever happened to Pat
At the time he STILL HAD this 48--ish Ford pickup, Mopar swapped, that he'd had in San Diego in about 72!!!
