Yet another timing question

Here's my question. What should my init. timing be, or a good starting point, for a 318 4bbl with a stock 340 grind cam? The motor also has a MP ele distrib. with an onrage box.

Initial should be around 10 BTDC.

Id mod your distributor(the stock timing curve is not performance oriented) and start around 32 degrees at full advance (3200 rpm +/-)
