Several years ago I was into a bunch of amateur operators, and I guess what started this was when Jeff Foxsworthy came up with his "you might be a redneck" jokes

Ours was "You could be running way too much power."

IE............. "If you key up your handheld and the antenna gets warm..........."

..................."If you key up your handheld and the antenna gets RED............"

and etc.............. when I came across this C/L ad tonight, LOL

I've never seen one of these in use. Do you use it in conjunction with an oscilloscope, to test how a generator or inverter is behaving under load?

Yup. Years ago I repaired a 2KW inverter for a guy and had no "handy" way to try it out, so we used to sell 1KW mogul base lamp bulbs IE gyms, and warehouse lighting, etc. I wired up two of them. Our shop guy sees this and was absolutely dumbfounded. "Howya lightin' them big bulbs with a 12 V battery??"
