Lol, yeah that sudden stop is a bummer. I was riding about 20 years ago, and the horse stopped and I didn't, then he stumbled and rolled right over the top of me saddle horn didn't feel to good.
I was chasing a coyote. Doing really good too. Ahead was a 4 wire barbed fence. Pulled hard on the reins, but that tough mouthed mo-dinger wouldn't hold up. Stopped instantly just before the fence. I ended up over the fence with my feet and boots resting on The top wire.
Yote
I was riding a horse once that decided to follow a 2 ton bull around. This was a bull known to butt his head against a tree trunk and push it over for fun... I tried to stop him, but he kept going... Until the owner came with the "whip" and he listened... Once I had a riding crop in hand, he behaved....
Oh, do we know that feeling! A rider in our 4-H went over the handlebars at the fair last year when her horse refused to jump over the hurdles in Hunter/Hack class!! To all of our riders credit, they all get right back on!!
Thanks for sharing the pics, I'll show em to Nella!!!
