Not a fan of either too. When I lived closer to the city years ago, I used to shoot the pigeons off my roof with a high power pellet gun with Silver Jet pellets. I must have killed over 100 of the flying rats.
Yeah pigeons or barn sparrows are by far the worse. Try to shoot them and it puts holes in the roof
Pigeons are good eating though.

You need to get a Beeman air rifle with Silver Jet pellets. At 1000 fps it will easily kill those birds but not shoot through the roof. One pump and fire again.

A good led flaslight and got almost 30 in about a week. The local fox got fat.
Neighbour stops by, sees two pigeons on my barn roof-oh thats where my pigeons are. I said “whats left of them”
He moved the coop,and they wouldnt go back to it.
There are no pigeons here. None. Ony two all summer, then one,then none. Scope is still accurate.

There was one summer we were having a raccoon problem really bad. So one night, my grandfather and I waited till about midnight, turned on the lights in the barn and opened up with a pair of 12 gauges with 00 buckshot. I think we ended up with 9 dead in the barn and 4-5 dead outside the barn. Haven't had a coon problem since. Did end up re-siding the barn and patching the concrete bricks though

You all will go buy rock Cornish game hens at $10.00 bucks a shot and here you are throwin away home grown fresh meat. A rock Cornish game hen is a freakin pigeon. I am telling you that you are missing a great meal

Can't be killing the neighbors with rounds that carry. Also don't want them hearing the shot.
I hear ya. I venture to say 98 percent of Americans these days can't skin a rabbit or a buck, run a trout line and even less can butcher their own beef, hog or any other animal. Gonna be a bad day IF something like what happened to Venezuela happens here.

Except here, I wouldn't want to eat one of them after seeing what they eat. Industrial diseased birds.
Not I, we have plenty of dang chickens and too many ducks lol. Dove is a pretty decent meal too. Rattlesnake is good too but I don't like the stringy parts

Meh, survival of the fittest. Those of that know how to do it will just have less competition for the food sources.
Did you ever raise chickens? Have you seen what they eat? They eat mice other birds and even their own peeps and poop. I have worked in the chicken barns and quit eating chicken for awhile.
