    [WANTED] Inland shift knob

It's been a while since I was last here. Unfortunately I had to sell my 68 valiant. The good news however is that I bought another dream car. A 66 dodge coronet 2dr sedan 440 4-speed. It is for this car that I'm looking for an inland shift knob to complete the shifter. If you have one or...

    4.88 7 1/4

Hi Guys, I found this freak 4.88 : 1 gearset for a 7 1/4 rear axle. Could anyone tell me in what application it could have been used? I always thought 3.91 was the highest gear available? Thanks, Antoon

    1968 plymouth valiant 2dr sedan

Thanks Bas for your comments, Indeed no updates have been made since what you can read in the previous posts, other than the installation of retractable seat belts for the rear bench so my little ones can ride along. Other than that my precious Jane still runs strong. No problems...

!!!!What is your opinion of the condition of gears in this 4 speed!!!!!! PICS INSIDE

Those dog teeth are worn. There's no fixing that other than with new gears. Obviously you would also need new synchro's. Good luck, Antoon

    preserving carbs

Hi gang, I just bought a complete six pack intake with good used carbs. It came from a running engine, and it doesn't look loke it's made a lot of miles. I want to install it on a 408 I'd lik to build but that may take a few years to complete. How can I preserve the carbs so I won't have...

big block six pack on 408

Well, I bought the set. It's complete and also includes the mopar performance six pack air cleaner with the rare CA 332 V air cleaner element. I paid 1000 euro for it, which is about 1300$. Not too bad concidering it's only an hour drive away. Antoon

big block six pack on 408

Thanks for the correction. Than it shouldn't be a problem since a 408 has more cubes than the 383 it came from. How much difference is there between the automatic carbs and the ones for a four speed? My car is a four speed and the donor car an automatic. Thanks, Antoon

big block six pack on 408

Hi gang, I have a chance to buy a complete set of six pack carbs which came from a 383. I would like to install it on the mild 408 I'm building. I'm assuming the center carb is a big block piece, which shold be 500 cfm. Will these carbs fit on the small block six pack intake? Will the...

    2dr sedan rear seatbelts

I pulled the belts from various cars, but mostly from volvo 440's. Be sure to get long ones, since you have to cut of the attachment points to stitch on other ones, which go with the belt style locks. I forgot to mention that you need to get the belts stitched by a shoe repair shop or something...

    2dr sedan rear seatbelts

As I said everything needs to be bolted down securely, and sheetmetal is not very secure, so I made a mounting plate to attach the retractor to. Be sure to weld on a nut with the same threads as original seat belt bolts. I think it's 3/8 unf but not sure. (they are the same as flywheel bolts)...

I then manufactured a stainless steel bezel to shield the hole, and protect the belt from tearing on the rough edges.
