    6.4 or 5.7?

Do you still need to notch the frame on the 5.7l as you do with the 6.4l to clear the Alternator? If you run the Truck 5.7 that moves the Alternator and AC can you still run a Carbonated Manifold and can you convert that truck Fan to electric? I'd like to avoid old school fans

    6.4 or 5.7?

Does that work for both the 5.7 and 6.4?

    6.4 or 5.7?

True until you "add" liters by boosting.

    6.4 or 5.7?

If I go 5.7 it will be with the intention of adding a proCharger at some point. As I said I want the car to be fun and reliable. I probably will only do mild bolt-ons and a cam for reliability. One of my concerns is room. I know we can drop a 440 in the A-body but headers and steering tend to...

    6.4 or 5.7?

I haven't been on here in like 10 years. After kids, divorce and years of bodywork I should get my duster soon and be ready to take the next step. I always planned on putting a 5.7l Gen III hemi in my car, but it seems that the 6.4 seems to be whats taking over now. What seems to be the...

    2002 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R Motorcycle

Yeah the bike has plenty of power, but like anything you could always use a little more. It is longer than a normal 1000cc to handle the added tq and keep you from popping wheelies all day. I have never been a Sportbike guy, but this bike came my way and I could not pass it up. I just can't get...

    Power Window Kit?

Well my car is being rebuilt from the ground up. New wiring, push button start, power windows, haven't decided on power locks yet.

    Multi Part question

The car was a shell. It was an 8 car with a 7 1/4 rearend. I am planing on Wilwood or something like that for brakes. I figured the spring perch wouldn't work due to the axle size difference. Where can these new spring perches be purchased from?

    Multi Part question

I have searched my brains out and am even more confused :violent1: I have a 1970 Duster that I am building from the ground up (my first build ever :headbang:) and I recently acquired a 8 3/4 shortened rear end. My questions are as follows: 1) The rear-end in question is in pieces and does not...

    Just got my 440

It's a F440 out of an New Yorker. It has the Maltese Cross and then an X which after searching shows I have a .10 undersized Crank. How does that affect the performance?

Budget...I kinda don't have a a budget but I don't have a fat wallet. I plan on doing this over time so immediately I have nothing, but when its all said and done I can see spending 5g's on the motor alone. I have a line on a 440 and a 727 for 800.00, I have an 8.75 rear end in the works at no...

Really good info! Now I heard a few blokes talking about stroking the motor to a 408, how would that effect my cam choice? Since the pistons are technically moving faster should that be a concern?

    Duster Questions and Advise

I have learned over time that there is always going to be somebody bigger and faster. I just want to peel some tires, have a reliable car and put a smile on my face.

    Duster Questions and Advise

Thanks! I may have a line on some Edelbrock heads so I might be good there. I did hear the Magnum block was the way to go, finding them out here is a pain though. Basically I am looking for the best bang for the buck and in performance. I plan on keeping this car until I die, then I might sell...

    Duster Questions and Advise

What's funny is I just saw a 1977 Ramcharger with a 360 for 250.00. If it is still around I may do that. I know over the years the blocks have stayed pretty much the same but due to smog and crap the heads have changed quite a bit. Is there anything specific or a year specific motor I should...

    Duster Questions and Advise

It came with a 318 so I have the small block V8 K-Frame. I just checked and I can get a 360 and a 440 for 800 bucks...I am starting from scratch so I have no idea what I am going to do.

    Duster Questions and Advise

Well I have a line on a 440 and a 727 transmission for 800 bucks for the pair. I haven't priced out a 360, I am sure its near or around the same price. I don't plan on taking the car to the strip or anything but I want to melt tires 8)

    Duster Questions and Advise

I managed to get myself into a 1970 Plymouth Duster project. I have no motor, no trans and the drums are shot. Here come the questions (I did a search and did some reading so bare with me). 1). What are the major benefits to going to a 440 versus a 360? Aside from the power and weight...
