    Help with ID'ing 904 trans

What's a good way to initially tighten push rods after rebuilt?

I just rebuilt my /6 and about to intstall the push rods back in, i know on adjustment its good to have the engine running. I need to get to some kind of point at first where i won't be way out of adjustment on the first start up so my push rods are not all flopping around. Thanks guys.

Help me ID the transmission i have.

So looks like its 904. I'm not getting much luck finding stock shift cable for it. Can I use something like this? http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performance-Products/JEGS-Automatic-Shifter-Cables/1287075/10002/-1 And then just make custom brackets for the ends?

I have a spare driveshaft that came with the car that i'm not using. I don't know if its for 904 or not, but its the one that will bolt to the transmission end rather than slipped into the spline.
