    727 pan?

can anyone give me any info on a original 727 pan that will fit the chrysler 2464324AC reuseable gasket? as you can see by the pictures the new gasket doesn't line up with the old pan, the gasket is straight at the back, the pan is not. i tried it, and it leaks at that spot where the pans...

750 CFM for my 383 or what?

okay my 1967 273 to 383 swap is done. the 383 is a 330 horsepower 1970 HP N code with a stock carb AVS 4736S which i believe is a 600 CFM. the question is for a simple boost in power do i jet this carb, or do i go to a 750 CFM? is this overkill or will i get good results? thanks Gerry

    AVS throttle screw retainer

does anyone have a part number, or know where to buy the white, nylon (i think) bushing that has a tab, and slides into the hole that the throttle idle setting screw goes into, and then the throttle idle screw goes into it and expands it to hold the screw on an AVS. thanks Gerry

    Carter AVS question

in the images of my 383 AVS, at the upper top there is a pressure relief of some sort, there is a spring and a ball in it but no visable outlet. my question is, the spring is visable and the ball is on top of the spring away from the opening in the brass retainer, is this the way it should be...

    Carter AVS question

I finally rebuilt the original Carter AVS that came stock with my 383 and it runs fine, and i took off my Carter 440 AVS that had the bogging problem, and the pump jet wasn't squirting when the accelerator pump was stroked, so i removed the pump jet, and put a pin along side the needle to see if...

    lokar kickdown linkage

the lokar kickdown linkage seem to be made for a Holley carb that has a downward extension on the throttle linkage that moves toward the front of the car when the upper part is pulled back by the throttle cable, thus allowing for a forward pull on the lokar cable. the stock AFB's have only an...

    273 to 440 swap

I'm hoping Jim Lusk will weigh in on this. Well i've got the Transdapt mounts, but the 383 i had lined up, isn't happening, but i'm finding lots of 440's. Now i've been told that the 440 gives better p.s. clearance due to the taller block, so i'm now thinking 440. Would anyone that's done the...
