    Just did the initial timing,i need to get a timing light on it to check the upper rpm range,i will check for vaccuum leaks as well.It has been accuring around 3000-3500.Should the eddy 600 be enough for this motor?

    Mine did the same thing on my 73...turned out to be the ignition switch,it wasnt fun,had to pull the steering wheel.

    Timed my 318 today,still getting a slight firecracker pop through exhaust at high rpms....It is bored .030,360 heads,.464 cam with .292 duration,600 eddy with a performer manifold,stock mech fuel pump.My buddy stopped by and suggested that it is starving for fuel and too much air is getting into...

    HEI dist

    Anyone running a HEI GM style dist on their mopar? They have a good look(billet aluminum),pretty cheap($45-$50),and they claim to be an upgrade from factory electronic ignition(better spark,fender mounted module and ballast resist not needed,etc.)...i would love to hear your pros/cons?Thanks

    73 dart 318,i am hooking up ign. switch,does anyone know where the black and red wires go?fusebox?I have the plug for the connector,i dont see a spot for the large wires though.

    will higher cranking amp battery hurt electrical components/system?

    I have a 73 swinger 318,my manual shows the factory battery had 375-400 cranking amps.I have a 1000 cold cranking amp battery that i have lying around,can i use this without damage to the electrical system or components?,I am also using a mini hi-torque starter.

    is there a ground cable that goes to the body as well to the engine?I have a cable from the battery to the cylinder head,do I need to run one to the body?

    got head/park/taillights,nothing interior(door buzzer,dome light,ignition,)...went through all the fuses and replaced anyways.Any ideas?

    Hooked up a new battery to my project,finally came to life,bad thing is,I only have headlights/park/tail lights...I dont have interior power(instrument,dome,door buzzer,ignition)Any thoughts?
