    hit it with a torch...get it kinda warm then let it cool and repeat until it stops oilcanning.... this ONLY works if the metal is NOT stretched too far (judgement call)...typically you can see where it was stretched that where you put the torch flame ( blue white no O2)...

    You really dont need anything to stiffen it...as previously said the glass does that on its own.... check with hobby shops around or home depot and see if you can find some balsa rod.... super lightweight...all you need is the shape hot glue it down to the underside of your hood and glass over...
