Using that console for a manual I'm pretty sure you're going to need the shifter arm with about 4-6 bends in it before it even comes out of the console.
I'm pretty sure that the guage panel voltage regulator, even for that year, was rectangular and plugged into the back of the panel or at least in 69-70-71 it was and they did. That item looks like a simple capacitor.

Yea, I installed the B+M Quicksilver on my 71 Demon and the console fits fine around it. I even screwed on the B+M T bar instead of the plastic knob. Just keep the cable away from the headers on its way to the tranny.
take the three screws out and remove it from the roof, flip it over and you can tighten, slightly, the screw with the little piece of medal that pushes against the ball. :evil2:
