Made 11 passes and the pass side front is drooping

X2 on the torsion bar adjusting block/bolt. I have had two go bad on me and it does just what you say yours did. Droop, adjust, drive a little, droop. The threads can appear to look OK when in reality they have lost material and thus holding power. The last one to go bad stripped all the way...

    Gerst Tubular Suspensions

I see it now....the first pic you posted of the system in silver paint had none and would have been a disaster waiting to happen. :D So another one on the bandwagon but which one to choose? Kind of nice that there are so many choices now eh?

Support is for the weak. Just install it and let god sort the broken parts out! :D Half price cause it's missing half the work needed to make it usable on the street.

Torsion Bar lowering question 67 Cuda for newbie

If your lowering it make sure you do it slowly by adjusting the bolts ccw as stated. Make sure the car is sitting on a level floor before you start. Bounce the car up and down after you make each adjustment so the car settles properly or even take it out for a quick drive. You shouldn't have...

Removing Torsion Bars? and leaving them out?

X2 Air ride is awesome. It's more than a party trick as you can tune your suspension for a soft ride on the highway or firm it up for some carving in the twisties. I would never hack on something unless I had tried it myself. Seems like a lot of haters would be better off living by that...

Removing Torsion Bars? and leaving them out?

Your high! Wiki-lies is written by anyone with a keyboard. There are many many race cars, road race cars, super cars, sports cars, sprint cars, midgets and trucks with torsion bar suspensions. It's how they are designed and tuned that determines if they work. Wiki-lies is the worst place to...

    altercation vs hemi denny

Back spacing is something to consider with the AlterK since the track width is greater and is closer to 5/8". Had my AlterK for 5 years now and have nothing to complain about. No harsh ride with heim joints either. HD looks similar and is built with the same kind of quality from what I...

Removing Torsion Bars? and leaving them out?

Porsche 911's run front and rear torsion bars stock....thy handle like crap. :D You need a system designed to carry the load of the upper shock mount or your going to fold in half when you turn. Air ride wasn't designed to be used on our cars without installing a different front end system...

HDK Tubular Coil Over for Stock Steering

HD. I would just stop there if I was you. Your the one who has had the skills and determination to bring something to fruition that looks like an excellent product and that's coming from an RMS owner. JR. You showed your cards but didn't have a full hand. If you were committed to doing what...

HDK Tubular Coil Over for Stock Steering

He who crosses the finish line first wins. He who spends more time building and less time boasting/bitching won't be overtaken. If one is butt-hurt why not seek revenge by improving on what hurt your butt in the first place. I'm sure the one whom hurt you would appreciate some...

And don't forget that going to 73 and up system will increase your track width by around 3/4" on each side.

    2" drop spindles

Make sure you use the proper materials for your project. The wilturd hubs are forged then machined so you have to use materials that will give you the strength you will need. 6061-T6 is super strong and a good choice but if you want to get crazy you can use 2024-T4 ($$$$$)
  22. momoparman

    2" drop spindles

It's a Wilturd hub by the way and it's the same dimensions. That's why going to all stock 73 and up components like someone here suggested would not work. It's 3/4" difference on the hub. The critical dimensions I changed are A and N as shown on brand W's spec sheet. 270-8775 is the hub...

    2" drop spindles

Share implies that I would give something away so no. :D I could see about getting a set made but I hesitate only because what if it doesn't work on your car? You would have to do lots of measuring of the wheels you would be using and give me a super detailed list of information that I...

    2" drop spindles

I had them made by my buddy. I supplied the critical dimensions and he reverse engineered the rest. You can see in this pic how much clearance I have now by looking at the shadow in the wheel well. He is awesome!

    59.1 for 73-> 57.4 for 72 down It's 1.7 divided by 2 which is .85. So technicaly your right it's not 3/4". :D

    2" drop spindles

Your probably gonna need a tad more than 5" b.s. to clear the top of the fender under diving conditions. IE cornering and or braking while cornering. I looked high and wide for anything decent looking (read not front wheel drive looking)over 4.5" on a 7" wide wheel and could find nothing...

    2" drop spindles

May be trouble.....I'm struggling with this exact set up and I am using Wilwood discs on a 1967 cuda. I am using 17" x 7" rims with 4.5" backspace. This set up with the Wilwood disc brakes pushes the wheels outboard by .750" on each side. If you have a 73 down car then you may have...

Raising the front end 69 Cuda

If your going to go crazy then why not pull the sub frames and use a Dakota or s10 frame and make it high as a MAF. I'm trying to figure out what the benefit of having the car lifted up so high and all I can imagine is that you want to go off-roading. No insult intended....trying to think...
