My thoughts exactly except that may very well depend on the psi of the tire. Hence my last reply.I'd move up to a 12 inch rim with 12 inch slick, I think with a 10 you'd only be utilizing the center of the footprint.
I have run 14 and 14 w slicks on 12" wheels, air pressure is critical. Not saying a wider rim wouldn`t be better tho !My thoughts exactly except that may very well depend on the psi of the tire. Hence my last reply.
It is physically impossible to run a 12 inch tire (really, any tire) on the same rim as you have a 10.5 inch tire oanyone ever run a bias ply 12 inch on a 10 inch wheel?
currently have a set of 10 inch pro-stars with 10.5 slicks mounted. wondering if I'd be nuts to run a 12 inch tire on the same?
thanks in advance!

They'll be fine. Nothing wrong with that at all. Also, there's NOTHING you can do about 2nd rib tread wear on a bias ply tire. Nothing. It's inherent in their design. Always has been. Course with slicks, there are no ribs, but still you'll see a difference between the first 4" from the outside edge. It's just the nature of the beast.
I have a minitubbed 66 dart with 28x14.5 15s QuickTime pros on 10in wheels.
Fit and look fine. ........But never buy a pink car if you don’t have time to paint it.
