Great Idea Phil, if I might ask what headers did you use ? what mods if any to fit with the 4 speed?
 
Our 1970 Aussie VG Valiant running a 440/547, indy topped, tunnel and twin 950 tre carbs, trans is a tricked 727 with 5000 stall. For the street we run it with a single dominator, at the track with only a handful of passes it has run a 9.99 @ 135.

My Big block A-bodies, I currently just own the green street car, the blue one and the purple one both ran in the 9's and were street driven 93 octane cars, no power adders.

I need a close-up of your hood treatment, looks very cool!!!!!
 
It's the center from a 68-69 Super Bee.
My flat hood was full of bondo from the prior owner, it wasn't salvageable, I found the Bee hood that had rotted out under structure so I cut mine and grafted the Bee center onto it.
 
Mild 500" pump gas mill. 3500 stall reverse man vb 727. 4:30 8 3/4. Auto drags with bias ply rubber. Old stick welded cage. I'm sure to most folks it's boring and passe but I'm building it to resemble the cars I remember ripping around the streets when I was a kid.

Here's mine. 1976 Feather Duster, 500 inch motor, 727 trans, strange dana rearend, 9 inch slicks, foot brake car, 9.60 quarter mile times.

drove this pile of parts daily for 50k miles , drove it any and everywhere . reno runs , no one would pass us . it loved mountain highways .

Do you have an engine pic? In particular, I'm really interested in your air cleaner setup. Love to way the filter sits in that Hemi scoop. Im putting one on my car with a 572" HEMI and would like to achieve the same effect. Your car is not boring and passe!

Thanks for the compliment. I have a Weiand Team G and a 4500 Dominator so that combo alone is a little tall. I'm using the Moroso air cleaner lid and like an 1 3/4 tall element. The base was an aluminum drop base that was an eBay score. I'll get some pics tomorrow eve if you'd like.
