Installing a petronix unit is simple this is a slant but the 8 is the same.
Remove the points and condenser and primarly lead, can be done installed, I took the breaker plate out for better pictures.
Clean area
Install positioner plate for the pick up. Lock tight the screw is recomended.
Slant does not need the adel (wire) clamp 8's do.
Install pick up add rotor and trigger wheel and gap it (.032) with included plastic tool or brass feeler gauge.
Install in car, connect the two wires to the coil red is + Black is -
Remover or jump ballast resistor.
Set the timing and enjoy!
