you will have to mod the drive shaft as truck trans have a different tailshaft. If you have a 904 the truck 727 is about 4 inches longer and uses a different yoke i believe

I was thinking Car and Truck trans were same length, I would like to know 100% myself!

i put a 74' 727 form a truck in my duster and it bolted up, just needed the drive shaft shortened, and a different yoke from the 904
...................Yes they fit just fine..........unless u have 1 out of a club cab, then it has a bolt on yolk...........if ur going to run a factory consol u will need to change the tail housing........truck trans are more heavey duty..............kim.........

If the tailhousing retaining clip access hole is on the side of the tail housing, then no, it wont and you need a std tailhousing. If the access plate is directly above the transmission mount, it will bolt right in. I think around 1980 they started to have the port on the pass side of the tailhousing and the housing is thicker/stronger.
