Tubular K frame

Ok ok 4600 you really don't need 13 inch rotors for the drag strip

and how are you going to stop?
You only get away with it once, but you could head for a tree:toothy10::toothy10:
Either way the Alter-K is damn near if not more than double then just rebuilding what is there. The only things I need are t-bars and upper control arms and I am right around $1800, counting a rebuilt ms box. I had to buy spindles, but thanks to Tony Fields got more than a fair deal....Everything is new in the $1800, rotors and all......Believe me, i am not saying the Alter-K is not worth money, I will probably end up with one and then using all the parts from my Dart in the wifes Valiant.....

So to answer my original question: Has anyone had any experiences with them or know anyone who has? Trust me I love RMS K frames.. Hell I just spent mad coin on his tubular UCA's, Struts, and Wilwood brakes... I was simply asking if anyone knows about these guys... Their products are priced well I just don't know them personally.

I know bobsprofab makes one of the best K frames you can get as well but they are high dollar like the RMS stuff.

Still not answering your question, but you might want to contact hemidenny, as he builds a-body k-frames. He does not get on the site very often, you might have better luck contacting HemiMark and getting his phone number from him.....

Thanks AAR... AJE has QA issues from what I'm reading.. This new STR K frame looks cool though.. I'd like to get a price on that set up and a few more ppl running them.. Anyone know where I can get ahold of them?

WOW!! some real positive feedback there...lol

I've got one. It's a beautifully powder coated piece of shyt. It is about the same quality as a DARE. I've actually got 2, because the first one was so warped it wouldn't bolt into the car. I've also got 3 sets of lower A-arms because they have been "revised", and some of them are just plain junk. Ball joint tapers are different sizes. I've had it mocked up in the car a couple times. There is so much bump steer the wheels look like a 3 year old waving to Grandma on Christmas.

I won't even go into "customer service".

Yeah....bought one, installed it, found out that everything was way off.....rack position, a-arm length, etc. About 2" of bump steer at the best adjustment possible. Oh yeah, the steering arms were at the wrong angle and interfeared with the steering arms at full travel. Sent back to AJE, three weeks later recieved another piece of crap that wasn't any better than the first.

One month of 3D design work later and one week to build (myself) a new k-frame, I now have a car that is drivable with one hand at 130+ and has less than 1/32" of bump steer in 5.5 inches of travel. He (Anthony) even had the giblets to ask me for the design....never refunded a dime.

I would say that if you are considering buying an AJE that you should just go to the bathroom and flush you cash. It would be less painful with the same result.

You asked.....I told.

I got steering arms off him junk to go with the junk I got from Dave at Dare the LRT stuff looks good and works.

My experiences with AJE have been well documented and I won't rehash them. Let's just say be afraid, be very afraid. LOL

His Ford stuff and his wheelie bars seem to be fine.

The Mopar K-frame kits need a little work.

damn that a great price compared everyone else's $1000+ stupid costs.

as he will explain to you that is the tubular k frame for $495.00 after that you need to aquire a pinto steer rack, spindles ,control arms, coilovers, ect. As you would if you were buying for a gm or ford

Well it is in the "Trash Or Be Trashed Where the weak are killed and eaten!!!!" Section so you have been warned lol

I would guess the biggest question for alot of us is which tubular k frame is suited for autocross and hard handling? For those WHO are not just satisfied with just navigating a straight line.

For me it's all about the 1320.... I will shoot Hemidenny a PM and ask about these K frames.. From my understanding I can still you my RMS tubular UCA's and spindles too.
