Show Your Big Block A body!

Swiss...you always amaze me...

not really concerned about puttin the big motor in there...I can't wait to see how you get those BFT's (big friggin tires) out of the wheelwell once it's done.I know you got an answer...I'll just stay tuned....

Here is mine.

This is the day I bought the car. It was set up to be a show car and sat very low to the ground. It looked awesome, but it was un-driveable. It was tough getting it up on my trailer.

It had rear coilovers and homemade ladder bars in the rear, and the torsion bars were dropped about as low as they could go. This is after I raised it up front and rear. It was better in the fact that I wasn't bottoming out everywhere anymore, but the rear suspension had no travel and it drove like crap.

Since then I did a total front end rebuild, replaced the coilovers and ladderbars with monoleafs and caltracs with a 3" spring relocate. The car sits and drive great now.

The car has a stock 76 440 in it. The only performance things it has is a set of 915 heads, Edelbrock RPM intake, Holley 750, 2800 stall, and a 3.91 suregrip. Low compression motor takes it down the track at a best of 13.42 @ 99mph. That will change this winter hopefully.

how do the mono leafs feel on the track,,,, I have my cal tracs on and monos waiting at home for me to put on.. oh yea, I just bought a 440 for the second year of the scamp hee hee.

That's easy, call AAA... or drop the suspension on that side, 5 bolts and and the assembly comes right off, I think.

The mono leafs feel great. I don't have a lot of experience any other way on an older car though! The front end pics up and stays up all the way down the track. Dan, Kranzberries buddy has them on his 10 sec. Demon and never slips a tire, and he is only running a 275 tire.

By the way Roy, if you'd show up at the track on a regular basis, you'd know!!! :glasses7:

67 Cuda - Stroked 440 to 500 cu in, Indy heads and intake, 1095 Demon, estimated 750 HP, 727, Dana 60 Spool, 4:30, 10.5 x 28 rear tires

I just bought the car in September and have run mid 10's after lifting at 1000 ft. Car should run low 9's (once I get my NHRA license this spring).

Car & engine were built by Mopar Muscle Magazine back in 2006/2007 by Dave Young (Tech Editor for the magazine). It was called the B3 project.

This car is a blast!

Happy New Year
