So, awhile back I tossed a bunch of coin into building a stout a904, on working the bugs out I blew a rebuild... I've got most of the rebuild parts on hand now.

Now I'm thinking I should have went with the OD trans. On the fence whether not if I could use the extra gears. Where I live a 200 mile round trip is all I could see doing in it, I've got a econobox for commuting/day to day battle.

I'm fine with fabrication/cutting.

I guess it boils down to economics. It would take a lot of miles in OD to make up for the offset cost (around $8-900), especially if I could not sell my a904 for a decent price, which is likely.

Engine is a 360 .525 lift 292 Duration 112 LSA

Car is running 3000rpm @ 60mph 26.5 tires and 3.73 gears.

Let me know what you think, I'm sure there are a few folks that could be in a similar position, now or in the future.

Thanks! :burnout:

I don't know if I would say it's strictly an economic decision, there's also comfort and driveability. The difference between being able to carry on a conversation at highway speeds or yelling over engine/exhaust decibels.

Cool, thanks for the input, I decided I'm going to take the plunge and do it!
