Natasha is the car's name she is a 1968 Dodge Dart 270.......i got her as a gift for my birthday this year in June from my cousin........well not real cousin but prolly one of the best friends i will ever have. She came from Denver, Colorado http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=190661 i was going to trade her off at one point in hopes of finding a 68 cuda fastback........that didnt work out but was prolly a blessing that it didnt bcoz she is turning out to be a good car so i decided to keep her and start working on her ......

This car has been daily driven since i got it ......i dont have a newer car so this is my only transportation

early on.... the only problem this car had was electrical ....i had problems with turn signals but i found a faulty turn signal switch and went through the cluster to fix all the background lights and really got to know the car.

the most recent change was from bench to bucket seats .....the buckets are kinda ratty but i didnt care bcoz i love buckets ........the buckets do sit lower so it felt like driving a completely different car with the swap ......i am planning to use good old duct tape and a blue sheet to fix these seats for now .........i can make my own seat covers but i have a lot on my plate right now ....that plus im the only one who is ever in this car so i dont mind it LOL

That is a nice looking little Dart. The 270 model is a favorite of mine. Interior wise they were the best looking in my opinion

There will be alot more changes to this car but thats all i have now since i just started the changes even though i have been driving it all summer .......i think it was good to drive it before making any changes bcoz now i know the car very well .....

Possilble upcoming change :happy1::

Sweet car, I like Natasha :D She sure would look cool with a SS hood scoop....:tongue1:

What are your plans for the wheels, Some fat tires out back would look awesome!

Looking great, I bet you enjoyed hearing it run with the updated ignition I did..:glasses7: when I changed.

yes plans include a scoop .....im trying de-grandma-ize this car ......and wheel are going to be wider steelies painted gloss black with chrome lugs.........
im not planning to get too crazy with wide tires bcoz this is a daily driver so i want to keep tire costs down

Black rims and chrome lugs will make it look mean :glasses7:

im thinking the car needs to be raised too..... on the front the torsion bars can be adjusted and the back im thinking maybe an extra spring leaf or two or maybe shakles ....i need to get off it the ground to make it look like its ready to pounce and mean ...also im thinking the grille need some black trim paint ....not a total black out grille like joe dirt but im thinking of trimming it black like a GTS grille ....kinda like giving her light make-up.lol

ditched the 13 inch wheels and tires all the way around today.....the 13 inch wheels had a big 8 stamped near the center hub so im guessing they are original and maybe the 8 means 1968..

the 14s are much better ....it rides smoother and has much better stance

13s were so dumb to use on these car ......they are sooo tiny and dont do anything for stance or looks

the tires are newer now so the ride is a lot different ....every change that i make to this car makes it feel like a completely different car

the rears are now P215/70 R14 which is wayyyyy bigger than what was there .....it feels like a wide tire to me bcoz i was used to the little wee man wheels

I am with you Rani... Dump grandma off at the nursing home and romp this thing. WOOHOO

Nice lil ride. You know you're gonna have to get a car named Boris now.

im not a fan of the automatic .....im not used to driveing an auto ...all my other cars are manual and autos kinda freak me out......

so i went out to the barn to see what i have laying around to remedy this problem.

i would love to go 4 speed but i dont have an extra 4 speed and i dont have the cash for one right now so im thinking 3 by the knee

i pulled up this 3 speed .....its a 230 model ...that ran when pulled from a 72 demon.

its a 74 date code but i have no idea it is a synchronized V8 version or non-synch slanty version ....either way i think i will have more fun with it than the auto......plus when i can finally afford a 4 speed...it will be bolt in from there.

i had never understood the joke about Boris and Natasha.....but that was a funny cartoon.

i named it Natasha bcoz that is my sister's name.....i never really see her so now i think of her everyday with this car

Swap it,gearshift girl.Go get it.Having parts on tap,is kickass.

I have a spare 833 OD lying around. its E/B/Truck but you are skilled enough to do the plate mount mod. if you are interested.
