i have heard comments about 68 darts being rare. i was actually told by someone locally that the reason the 68 darts are all gone is bcoz the super stock cloners bought them all up to clone and sell for 150 grand.

well it seems everytime i look around here there are a lot of them.

so im curious.....how many of us have 68 darts here?

i will start with my Dart Natasha. :burnout:

Well theres at least two of use and no there not rare except for the Hemi. 68 brought first time changes to the style ,like round signal lights and marker lights. also bottom dash try and different tail lights. Some of these changes were unigue to the 68 and not produced again in 69. Thats why alot of guys like the 68. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three years 67-69. I chose 68 because it was the year I graduated, Dick Landy had just picked up two of the first Hemi's and was blowing the doors off of the competion.

I have a 68 270 post . I have heard the posts are more rare ? Im not sure ?

Mine is a 69, was looking for a 68. But condition and $$ was more important than year.

my buddie has 1 looks like zigs but has a a-1 true flame on it , its a show winner up here evry week they are hard to find need a factory steering wheel for 1 if some 1 has 1 for sale or trade

Here is my 68 Rani. It is a GTS clone that started out as a 270 with a 6 cylinder. At a cruise in my home town last year there were eight 68 Darts in the same parking lot at the same time and I did not have a camera with me!!!!!

68 is my favorite year. Mine should be back on the road within the next couple weeks. I had some dangerous brake issues. It's a driver for sure and will stay that way. It may get a mod or two shortly after Chirstmas. :D

I had a blue four door '68 Dart. It had a.m./f.m radio, heating and air. 225 slant six engine. It was a strait car too! I was so sad when they sold it. I had no say in sale. :'-(

There's a few around here, I'll put some pics up later of the local ones. My cousin also has one, originally a /6, bucket console car, now a 440.

my friend Clark has a 68 gts clone rag top-- that is why I have this sickness -with my 69 dart-- many years ago it started.
I'll try to find a picture

Mine would be on the road, if i'd just finish the colorsanding/buffing, and put it back together....lol

I have one. Was a /6, but now a 360 4-speed. Soon to see the street for the first time in many years.

I have 2. One is my GTS and the other is basiclly a shell.

Another Dart owner here. I like the round marker lights and turn signals on the 68.

Thats what makes them popular. Not the cloning. I still see quite a few around and on craigslist.

Jimmer, they are quite rare:D- last year of the 2 door sedans for Dart and a very short production schedule for them. '69 was the last year of the Valiant 2-door sedan as well (their 2-dr sedan almost always sold better than the Dart because Plymouth was the 'cheaper' brand), think Valiant sold less than 8K 2-dr sedans for '69.

I took this last June, its a members car, very awesome too!! :prayer:

My parents brought me home from the hosiptal in a '68 GTS 340/auto. My dad sold/bought that car 3 times over about 11yrs . That made me like that model year of the Dart the most. Besides the round marker lights on the slab side looks good.

I have a '68 GT Ragtop made into a GTS clone. It's a complete basket case but in one piece. I hope to get it up and running this summer. No pics : (
