Looking to purchase Driver side Upper A Arm for Disc Brake Set Up. Converting a 71 shoe brake to large bolt pattern 11" Disc Brake. Purchase complete used setup and found the Driver side A arm to be patched. Would like to replace it with a good one. Thanks

so the ones youre looking for are the 73-76 A?? With Big Ball Joint? the upper a arms were already taken when these pics were taken. this car (75 valiant) is already gone, but another similar may pop up - believe they offered drums all the way through 76 unless discs were ordered or installed - have seen base cars 74/75/76 w drums.

As far as I'm aware.... the upper A-arms on the 73-76 A-body car's were the same, no matter if it had disc or drum brakes. They are all big ball joint arms. I suppose I could be wrong, maybe another member will chime in too.

Edit: Sorry for the confusion...... I misread what the OP was referring to.

How can you tell the left from right upper arms?

That's really pretty easy, once you figure it out.

On the control arm, there is a "flat" portion on one side of the arm.

That is where the rubber bump stop will come to rest.

The bump stop, is on the forward side of the car, so the upper control arm with that area on the arm faces forward also.

Hope i described it, the best that i can.
